Mobil batteridriven LED-lampa – Vilka funktioner har lampan?

What is a rechargeable LED work light?

A rechargeable LED work light provides portable working light without requiring a permanent mains connection. This makes battery-powered work lights particularly useful on construction sites, in workshops and garages, during renovation work or outdoors where a power socket is unavailable or the light needs to be moved frequently.

Depending on the model, rechargeable work lights can offer adjustable brightness levels, battery status indicators, USB charging functions and different options for positioning the light. Selected professional work lights can also be operated with compatible 18V tool batteries.

For an overview of all mains-powered, rechargeable and hybrid models, visit the LED Construction & Work Lights category.

When is a rechargeable work light useful?

A rechargeable work light is particularly useful wherever flexible lighting is needed without relying on a nearby socket. Typical applications include construction and renovation work, workshops, garages, maintenance and installation work as well as suitable outdoor working areas.

Because there is no mains cable restricting the position of the light during battery operation, a portable work light can be moved quickly from one working area to another. Compact models are also convenient when working in confined spaces or when the light needs to be transported frequently.

What are the advantages of battery-powered work lights?

  • Independent of mains power: A battery-powered work light can be used where no suitable socket is available.
  • Portable and flexible: The light can be repositioned easily as the working area changes.
  • Adjustable brightness: Depending on the model, different switching or dimming levels allow the light output to be adapted to the task.
  • Battery status indicator: Selected models show the remaining battery capacity.
  • USB and power bank functions: Depending on the model, mobile devices can also be charged via a USB connection.
  • Flexible positioning: Depending on the work light, different stands, brackets or tripods can be used to position the light where it is needed.

What should you look for when choosing a rechargeable work light?

The right rechargeable work light depends on where it will be used and how much light is required. Important criteria include light output, battery runtime, IP rating, size, positioning options and charging method.

The luminous flux in lumens indicates the amount of light produced by the work light. For mobile use, size and weight can also be important, while work on larger areas may require higher light output or several light sources. If the work light is used in demanding environments, the appropriate IP rating and the manufacturer's specifications for the intended area of use should also be considered.

How long does a rechargeable work light last?

The runtime of a rechargeable work light depends primarily on the battery capacity, the light output and the selected brightness level. Operating a work light at maximum output generally requires more energy than using a reduced brightness setting.

Models with several switching or dimming levels therefore allow the balance between brightness and battery runtime to be adapted to the task. The actual runtime varies from model to model, so the technical specifications of the individual work light should always be checked.

How many lumens does a rechargeable work light need?

How many lumens are required depends on the size of the working area, the distance between the light and the surface, the positioning of the work light and the type of work being carried out.

Compact rechargeable work lights with a lower light output can be suitable for close-range tasks, while larger construction or workshop areas may require considerably more light output or several light sources. The lumen value should therefore always be considered together with the light distribution and positioning of the work light.

What IP rating should a rechargeable work light have?

The required IP rating depends on the environmental conditions in which the rechargeable work light is used. The IP code indicates the degree of protection provided by the enclosure against contact, foreign objects and water.

For more information on IP20, IP44, IP54, IP65 and other protection ratings, see our guide IP protection classes: Which one is necessary when?.

Compact rechargeable LED work lights

Compact rechargeable LED work lights are a practical choice when portability and flexible positioning are particularly important. Depending on the model, features can include several brightness levels, a battery status indicator, USB charging interfaces or a power bank function.

The brennenstuhl® range includes compact rechargeable work lights in different sizes and light output levels, making it possible to select a model according to the working area and intended application.

Can rechargeable work lights use 18V tool batteries?

Selected brennenstuhl® work lights can be operated with professional 18V tool battery systems. This can be particularly useful for professionals who already use compatible rechargeable batteries with their power tools and want to use the same battery platform for their work lighting.

The brennenstuhl® Multi Battery 18V System and Bosch Professional 18V System work lights provide further information on the available solutions.

If you want to check which batteries and adapters can be used with the Multi Battery system, see Compatible batteries with the brennenstuhl® Multi Battery 18V System.

Rechargeable work lights for professional use

Professional rechargeable work lights are designed for applications where robust construction, high light output and flexible power options are important. Depending on the model, professional work lights are available with integrated rechargeable batteries, compatibility with professional 18V battery systems or additional functions for flexible positioning.

Rechargeable or hybrid work light – which is better?

A rechargeable work light is particularly useful when mobility and independence from mains power are the priority. It can be moved between different working areas without requiring a permanent power connection.

A hybrid work light provides an additional option when the same light needs to operate on battery power in some situations and from the mains during longer periods of work. Which solution is more suitable therefore depends primarily on how and where the work light will be used.

Hybrid LED work lights for flexible power supply

Hybrid LED work lights combine the flexibility of battery operation with the option of mains operation. This can be useful for longer jobs where mains power is available while still allowing the light to be used independently of a socket when required.

Find the right rechargeable work light for your application

Whether you need a compact portable light, a powerful battery-powered work light or a professional model for an existing 18V battery system, the right solution depends on the working area, required light output, runtime and operating conditions.
