How to mount a Premium-Alu-Line extension lead
A fixed extension lead can help keep sockets within easy reach while reducing loose cables around desks, workbenches and other work surfaces. Selected brennenstuhl® Premium-Alu-Line extension leads are designed with a practical mounting system that allows the extension lead to be securely attached to a suitable surface.
The mounting concept uses a removable plate on the back of the aluminium housing. This makes it possible to mount the extension lead on a wall, underneath a desk, on a table leg or on another suitable work surface while keeping the sockets accessible.
How does the Premium-Alu-Line mounting system work?
The mounting plate is located in the rail on the back of the aluminium extension lead. For installation, the plate is removed from the housing and divided into two mounting sections. These sections are then fixed to the required surface with suitable screws. Once both mounting points are secure, the aluminium extension lead can be pushed back onto the mounting sections and held in position.
How to mount the extension lead step by step
- Choose a suitable position for the extension lead and check that the sockets, switch and mains cable will remain easily accessible.
- Remove the mounting plate from the rail on the back of the extension lead.
- Separate the mounting plate into the two mounting sections as described in the product instructions.
- Position the mounting sections at the required distance and mark the fixing points.
- Attach both mounting sections securely using suitable screws and fixings for the surface.
- Slide the extension lead onto the mounted sections until it is securely positioned.
