brennenstuhl® Brings Power to the Road: New Charging Solutions for E-Mobility

From Socket to Charging Point: Reliable, Safe Charging Solutions for Home and On the Go

With practical charging solutions for electric vehicles, brennenstuhl® is tapping into a new area of expertise. By entering the field of e-mobility, brennenstuhl® is responding to the growing demands for charging infrastructure and mobile energy supply. The high requirements for safety, durability, and reliability align perfectly with the strengths of this long-established company – creating ideal conditions for long-lasting, high-quality charging solutions.

Versatile and Safe E-Mobility Charging Solutions for Every Application

At launch, brennenstuhl® offers a well-thought-out range of charging solutions for electric vehicles: rugged Mode 3 charging cables for permanently installed charging points, available with either 11 kW or 22 kW power and in various cable lengths, as well as mobile charging devices with In-Cable Control Box (ICCB) for portable use, such as at changing locations. This way, brennenstuhl® provides practical and reliable solutions for nearly every charging scenario.

The mobile chargers allow for comfortable and safe charging at Schuko or CEE sockets via the ICCB, which acts as an intermediary control unit. Comprehensive protection functions – including safeguards against overvoltage, undervoltage, overload, residual current, and overheating – ensure that the entire charging process is safe and reliable for both users and equipment.

E-Mobility Meets brennenstuhl® Quality

The new products are consistently designed for safety and durability. The three-phase 16A charging cable is manufactured in accordance with European standards and thus fulfills all relevant requirements for charging infrastructure in Europe. The Type 2 plugs and connectors are equipped with robust protective caps that guard against moisture and dirt. A thick insulation sheath protects them from damage and abrasion, and they are suitable for operating and storage temperatures ranging from -30°C to +50°C. A practical carrying case completes the package, making transportation and storage safe and convenient.

The portable chargers enable simple and secure charging at CEE sockets (3-phase) or Schuko sockets (1-phase). The ICCB takes over all safety-relevant functions typically handled by a charging station or wallbox, acting as a built-in control and safety device.
